The GOP's Foxy party platform

Never let it be said that the 2016 Republican Party ever let anything as pesky as facts get in the way of a good story.  Their recently unveiled platform reveals this little gem:
“We oppose the use of public funds to perform or promote abortion or to fund organizations, like Planned Parenthood, so long as they provide or refer for elective abortions or sell fetal body parts rather than provide health care. We urge all states and Congress to make it a crime to acquire, transfer, or sell fetal tissues from elective abortions for research, and we call on Congress to enact a ban on any sale of fetal body parts.”

It's reasonable for a reasonable person to assume that Democrats would also disavow any organization that sold body parts.  And the reason they don't disavow Planned Parenthood?  Because - oh, so ho-hum - is because it doesn't.  No one associated with it does.  As has been proven time & again by the 12+ state legislatures that investigated PP & came up with zip.  Nada.  Nothin'

Yet, there is the false accusation in the heart of the GOP platform.  I believe that is what the Bible - Do Republicans really & truly get that the Bible applies to conservatives as well as Democrats? - calls bearing false witness.

And it is a clear indication that the GOP has been totally Fox-ified.  It believes what it wants, rather than what is true.  A party custom-fitted for a Donald Trump, who believes whatever he says is true because he's saying it so it must be.  Ironic that the party reveals how thoroughly it's been indoctrinated by Roger Ailes just as Roger Ailes is about to be shown the door.  Too late for the Grand Old Party!  It's so utterly absorbed the principles of the "Fair & Balanced" channel, it should swap its elephant for a fox!

All you need to know to confirm that are their endless investigations into HRC.  Truth is secondary.  When the GOP launches an investigation looking for actual criminal activity - whether Benghazi or HRC's e-mail server or PP - it's looking for vindication of its own vindictiveness.

It can't handle the truth.
