No, the GOP are not looking for ways to drag Bernie Sanders' into the true Benghazi debacle, aka the will-they-ever-wrap-this-up House hearings into the tragedy. As in, they never saw this coming. Am quite sure it never ever dawned on GOP leadership that there might be another, very popular contender for the Democratic presidential nod, that he might be a more potent opponent against their presumptive candidate than Hillary promises to be. Republicans, far more than HRC, were blindsided by Bernie.
The drama of the Benghazi committee would be considerably more powerful if Hillary was the inevitable candidate her camp, Democratic leadership & the media portray her as being. As it stands, they take out HRC & they're left with a wildly popular candidate who is, unlike Mrs. Clinton, the true antithesis of staunch conservative ideals.
